A study published in the journal Addictive Behaviors in November 2006 shows that the 3-month success rate for a smoker attending the five-hour Allen Carr's Easyway Programme is over 70%, and after 12 months is 53.3%. To put this in context (see chart) Allen Carr's Easyway is many times more effective than other methods. For example the NHS’s own figures using Scotland in 2009 as an example show that their 12 months success rate is just 7%.
